Some records which are now being pulled under the tittyshaker umbrella were likely recorded by wholly innocent young gents, unaware that the sounds they were thrashing out would later be associated with images of sleazy 50s burlesque revues. But then there are bands such as the inappropriately named Genteels, who left little room for mis-understanding with their song 'Take It Off', a knockabout piece of musical smut which was obviously designed specifically for the purpose of encouraging the art of performance bump and grind. Built around the 'Peter Gunn' theme, it’s fitting that we also include the Jesters 'Peter Gunn Twist' on the flip, whereby the famously sleazy riff is raunched up further still.
